Thinking while acting

“Most of the time I think things along the lines of, ‘I hope Jared doesn’t put that broomstick into my groin again during this take.’” –Misha Collins

Misha about working with Jared and Jensen

J2 promised that if Richard even came back, they would most definitely mess with him big time. C’mon Jeremy… give the boys someone else to focus on… do it for Misha.

He’s suffering… RSJ needs to be on the set to be Misha’s new sanctuary… yep… that set needs him around. It’s vital.

Plus y’know… we’ve been begging for 2 seasons already…

Fighting for sexism means fighting for when men are victims and when women are victims. Fighting sexism means fighting stereotypes regardless of who is affected by them. Yes, women are disadvantaged in some ways. But, men are also disadvantaged in some ways. So quit making it a contest of who is more oppressed. Because sexism doesn’t work that way. The same people who stereotype and discriminate against women who don’t fit in their stereotypes, are stereotyping men and discriminating against men who don’t fit their stereotypes. The same people who think women shouldn’t take on traditionally masculine roles think men shouldn’t take on traditionally feminine roles. Every time someone says that women need sheltering and protection, they also say that men can’t be weak and ask for help. When one side has an advantage, you destroy that advantage by treating the sexes equally. Sexism isn’t something we make laws about. It’s some thing we change in the media. It’s something when change in the minds of our peers, our families, our friends, and most importantly our children. Do you understand the picture I am trying to create here? The greatest failing of feminist is the assumption that fighting sexism from one side will change the world for better. But as long as men are expected to be the providers, the silent suffers, and the traditional knights in shiny armor, women will be expected to be the protected, the emotionally unstable, and the damsel in distress.
